He decided the wedding would go on
Though she lay so still in the casket
He wasn’t allowing this tragedy
To stop their perfect wedding.
He had her wear the gown she chose
The perfect pair of shoes
The veil covering her beautiful face
Now he just required the audience.
Two days before the wedding
She sat in the kitchen
Remembering their past;
All of his lies
So many times she tried to walk away
But he always lured her right back in.
She tired of the game
Tired of allowing her heart
To make decisions
That were terrible for her life
She took the gun
And ended it all.
